Squeeze Your Favorites! Bandai’s Dragon Quest Puni Puni Squishy Gashapon Figures Are Absolutely Irresistible 🫧✨

Okay, DQ fans — DROP EVERYTHING. Bandai just hit us with one of the most squeezably adorable Gashapon releases of 2026, and if you’re a Dragon Quest collector, this one is going straight to the top of your must-have list. Introducing the Dragon Quest Puni Puni Shi-tai Gashapon series — a lineup of BIG squishy figures featuring the most iconic slime-type monsters from the legendary JRPG franchise. Yes, you read that right. Squishy. Dragon Quest. Gashapon. We are so blessed. 🙏

What Is the Puni Puni Shi-tai Series? 🤔

For the uninitiated, “Puni Puni” (ぷにぷに) is a beloved Japanese onomatopoeia that describes that soft, squishy, satisfying tactile sensation — like poking a really satisfying stress ball. Bandai’s Puni Puni Shi-tai Gashapon series takes that concept and applies it to your favorite anime and game characters in BIG capsule figure form. And now, Dragon Quest has officially joined the lineup. This is huge. 🔥

The Full Lineup — All 4 Variants 🎰

This series features 4 types in total, and every single one is a certified icon of the Dragon Quest monster roster:

• 🔵 Slime — The OG. The mascot. The blue blob that launched a thousand memes. In squishy form, this is going to be dangerously fun to squeeze.
• 👑 King Slime — The royalty of the slime family is here and looking absolutely regal in squishy BIG figure form.
• 🗼 Slime Tower — A tower of stacked slimes that somehow got even more adorable. Peak Dragon Quest energy.
• ⚪ Haぐれ Metal (Metal Slime) — Here’s where it gets spicy! The notoriously elusive Metal Slime is included — BUT, true to its in-game nature of being hard to catch and hard to hit, the Metal Slime figure has a FIRMER texture compared to the other three. Bandai actually gave it a different feel to match its legendary hardness. That attention to detail? Chef’s kiss. 👨‍🍳💋

Why This Series Is an Absolute W 🏆

Let’s be real — Dragon Quest slimes are the most iconic video game monsters ever created. They’re on everything. They’re in everything. And now Bandai is giving them the squishy, tactile, fidget-toy treatment that your desk absolutely needs. At just 400 yen per capsule (tax included), this is an incredibly accessible entry point for collectors of all levels. Whether you’re a hardcore DQ veteran or a casual fan who just loves the aesthetic, this lineup delivers.

The fact that Bandai differentiated the Metal Slime’s texture to be firmer is the kind of geeky, lore-accurate design decision that makes collectors lose their minds (in the best way). This isn’t just merch — it’s love letter to the franchise packed into a Gashapon capsule.
