Elden Ring on Nintendo Switch 2 — We Tested It and Yes, It Actually Works! 🔥

The Moment Every Tarnished Has Been Waiting For 🗡️

Hold up. HOLD. UP. We just got confirmation that Elden Ring Tarnished Edition has been tested running on the Nintendo Switch 2 — and it actually works. Like, properly works. If you’re a collector or a hardcore FromSoftware fan who’s been sitting on the fence about grabbing a Switch 2, this might just be the sign from the Erdtree you needed. ⚡

This is massive news for the portable gaming community. The Lands Between on a handheld console in 2026? We are so back.

What Was Actually Tested 🎮

The test specifically focused on Elden Ring Tarnished Edition — which, if you didn’t know, is the expanded version of one of the most critically acclaimed action RPGs of this generation — running on Nintendo’s new hardware, the Switch 2.

The verdict from the verification? It runs. The Japanese source was straightforward about it: the game operates properly on the new hardware. No catastrophic meltdowns. No slideshow frame rates. Just the Tarnished doing their thing, dying to the same bosses repeatedly, but now in portable form. 😅

Why This Is a Big Deal for Collectors & Fans Outside Japan 🌏

Listen, if you’re reading this from outside Japan, you need to understand the significance here. Elden Ring is already a cultural phenomenon — a game that single-handedly dominated conversations for years. The fact that Switch 2 compatibility is being actively verified suggests that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are taking the platform seriously.

For figure collectors and merch hunters, this also means the Elden Ring IP is staying red-hot — which translates directly into more merchandise drops, more figure releases, and more collab events coming your way. The hype cycle is NOT slowing down. 🔥

Should You Be Hyped? Absolutely. 💥

Here’s the thing — portable Elden Ring changes the game entirely. Grinding runes on the train. Exploring legacy dungeons during your lunch break. Getting absolutely bodied by Malenia in bed at 2AM. This is the Tarnished lifestyle upgrade nobody asked for but everyone deserves.

The Switch 2’s upgraded hardware clearly has the muscle to handle one of the most demanding open-world RPGs out there, and that alone is a statement. We’ll be watching very closely for more detailed performance breakdowns, frame rate analysis, and whether a dedicated physical release follows for Switch 2.

Don’t sleep on this. The FOMO is real. 👀
