Summer Pockets Sunnyside Stories Just Got Announced & It’s Everything Key Fans Have Been Waiting For 🌞

The Big News Just Dropped 🚨

Strap in, Key fans — because September 26 just delivered one of the most exciting announcements of the year. Key has officially revealed Summer Pockets Sunnyside Stories, a brand-new game adaptation of the beloved short story collection previously released as “Summer Pockets Short Stories In the Dazzling Summer“. And yes, it’s coming sooner than you think — December 18 is the release date, and it cannot come fast enough.

What Exactly Is Summer Pockets Sunnyside Stories? 🌊

If you’re already a die-hard Summer Pockets fan, you already know this universe hits different. The original Summer Pockets from Key is one of those visual novels that genuinely wrecks your emotions in the best possible way — stunning summer aesthetics, unforgettable heroines, and that signature Key storytelling that makes you stare at the ceiling at 3AM questioning everything.

Sunnyside Stories takes the short stories that were previously published in text form and transforms them into a full-blown game experience. We’re not talking a lazy port either — these stories are getting the full visual novel treatment, complete with full voice acting across the board. On top of that, Key has confirmed that newly written original stories are being added exclusively for this release. That means even if you’ve already read every single one of the original short stories, there is fresh content waiting for you here. 🔥

Why This Is a Huge Deal for Key Fans 💥

Let’s be real for a second. Key doesn’t just casually drop new content for their flagship titles. When they do, it’s an event. The fact that they’re:

• Fully voicing all the short stories
• Adding brand-new written content exclusive to this game
• Packaging it all into a proper game release

…tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they’re taking this. This isn’t some cheap cash grab — this is Key delivering more of that summer magic that made the original so special.

For international fans especially, Summer Pockets has built an absolutely devoted fanbase. The characters, the island setting, the bittersweet atmosphere — it all hits on a level that very few visual novels can match. Sunnyside Stories is basically Key saying, “You loved that world? Here’s more of it.” And honestly? We are so here for it. 🙌

Mark Your Calendars ⏰

December 18. Save it. Set an alarm. Tattoo it on your wrist if you have to. This is one of those releases that you do not want to miss in the moment, because the Key community is going to be absolutely buzzing when it lands. Being part of that day-one experience? Priceless.

The FOMO for sitting this one out is going to be astronomical. Don’t be the person refreshing Twitter/X watching everyone else post their reaction screenshots while you’re still on the fence.
